ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State’s Ca’terrin Cox and Gabriele Tosti have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for the meet week ending on Sunday, April 27.

Junior Ca’terrin Cox impressed on his home track at the second annual Joe Gillespie Invitational, where he clocked a time of 13.94 in the men’s 110 hurdles prelims. His performance not only secured the top qualifying time but also set a new facility record at the Tarleton State Track Complex. The time currently ranks fourth in the WAC this season.

Gabriele Tosti delivered a historic effort in the triple jump at the same meet. Tosti soared to 16.39, breaking the longest-standing school record—originally set in 1977—and establishing a new facility record in the process. His leap currently leads the WAC and ranks ninth nationally. He also ranks seventh in the WAC in the long jump after his 7.21 mark at the Michael Johnson Invitational on April 18.
