WAC WSOC25 Release Week 6

FINAL WEEK OF NON-CONFERENCE ON DECK
Week six will mark the final week of non-conference play in the 2025 WAC Women’s Soccer season. The league will play one final non-conference match each before preparing for the WAC slate. Abilene Christian will look ahead to conference play as the Wildcats wrapped up their non-conference schedule at Baylor last Sunday.

UTAH VALLEY RALLIES OVER WEBER STATE
Utah Valley overcame a pair of two-goal deficits against Weber State on Monday night to take down the Wildcats 4-3. Weber State got on the board first with two goals within the first 21 minutes. Sadie Beardall responded quickly with UVU’s first goal just 40 seconds after the Wildcats’ second goal. After Weber State grew its lead to 3-1 with a goal in the 59th minute, this week’s WAC Offensive Player of the Week Marie Quentel scored a goal and assisted another goal within a span of five minutes to tie the match. Nixan Jackson delivered the game-winner in the 81st minute to complete the comeback for Utah Valley.

ABILENE CHRISTIAN BLANKS NORTHWESTERN STATE
Abilene Christian remained perfect at home this season following a 1-0 victory over Northwestern State, handing the Demons just their second loss of the season. Raelin Miller notched her first collegiate goal in the 72nd minute of the match to secure the win for ACU. This week’s WAC Goalkeeper of the Week Bella Medrano posted her third clean sheet of the year, tied for the most in the WAC.

CALIFORNIA BAPTIST WINS THE CROSSTOWN SHOWDOWN
California Baptist also kept its perfect 2025 home record alive last week with a Crosstown Showdown victory over UC Riverside 2-0. Kaylee Hauck set the tone early by scoring the first CBU goal in the 11th minute and Bexy Sanchez followed suit with her first collegiate goal in the 39th minute. All four California Baptist wins this season have come in shutout fashion and Mikayla O’Brien has protected the net for three of those victories, tying ACU’s Medrano for the most shutouts in the conference.
