ARLINGTON, Texas – Southern Utah’s Brooklyn Fely has been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Jan. 25.
 
Fely, a junior forward transfer from Umpqua CC, led Southern Utah to two in-state rivalry wins against Utah Valley and Utah Tech as she nearly averaged a double-double on the week with 15.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Fely racked up a team-high 19 points and 10 boards against the Trailblazers for her sixth double-double of the season. Fely also notched 12 points with nine rebounds against the Wolverines. Fely currently ranks third in the WAC in rebounding, averaging 8.11 boards this season.
