2026 Interactive NCAA WBB Tournament Bracket
ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist received the Western Athletic Conference’s (WAC) automatic bid into the 2026 NCAA DI Women’s Basketball Tournament after defeating Abilene Christian in the conference tournament championship on Saturday afternoon. The Lancers were tabbed with the No. 16 seed in the Sacramento Region and will square off with No. 1 UCLA in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, March 21.
California Baptist will be making its second NCAA appearance as they also played UCLA in the first round of the 2024 tournament. UCLA finished the 2025-26 season with a 31-1 record and will enter the matchup on a 25-game winning streak after winning the Big Ten Tournament championship. The winner between the Lancers and the Bruins will play the victor of No. 8 Oklahoma State and No. 9 Princeton on Monday, March 23.
The Lancers look to be the first WAC team to win a first round game and advance to the second round of the NCAA DI Women’s Basketball Tournament since 2004.
