ARLINGTON, Texas – Abilene Christian’s Payton Hull and Southern Utah’s Brooklyn Fely have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Feb. 15.
 
Hull, a junior guard, collected her second consecutive WAC Player of the Week award after leading Abilene Christian to a pair of in-state rivalry road wins and averaging 30.0 points per game last week. Hull posted 24 points versus UT Arlington and a WAC season-high 36 points against Tarleton State, an ACU D-I scoring record. Hull made 5-of-9 attempts from beyond the arc and went 13-of-14 from the charity stripe against the Texans. Hull has averaged 25.8 points in her last six games with 20 points or more in six of her last eight games.  
 
Fely, a junior forward transfer from Umpqua CC, led Southern Utah to a critical road victory at California Baptist where she registered a career-high 31 points along with 13 rebounds. Fely then notched her second straight double-double, and ninth overall this season, with 17 points and 11 boards against UT Arlington. Between the two games, Fely shot 72.0 percent from the field, making 18 shots on 25 attempts last week.
