ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Shuyi Cao has been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Golfer of the Week for the tournament week that ended on Thursday, March 5.

Cao, a freshman, led CBU at the Fresno State Classic on March 2-3 at the Fort Washington Golf & Country Club in Fresno, California with a share of seventh place at 1-over-par 217 (72-69-76). Cao’s second round 3-under 69 was one of just eight sub-70 rounds during the tournament, which saw an average round score of 76.93. Cao was tied for second in the 80-player field with 11 birdies in the event, also sharing second place in par-3 scoring average (2.90, -1).
