ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State’s Victoria Cameron and UT Arlington’s Arieanna McPeak are the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, for the competition period between April 1st and April 7th.
Cameron, a junior from Stephenville, Texas, tied her own WAC record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.01 at the Texas Relays in Austin. That is the top time in the NCAA this season and second-fastest in the world.
McPeak, a freshman from Ferris, Texas, won the women's triple jump with a mark of 12.60m (41’4.25”) also at the Texas Relays in Austin. This is the best leap in the WAC this season and 20th nationally. McPeak also had a WAC-best in the long jump, soaring for 6.13m (20’1.5”).
