ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Tech’s Hudson Manwaring and UT Arlington’s Caylon Dygert have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, May 10.
 
Manwaring, notched 10 hits in 14 at-bats in Utah Tech’s series with UT Arlington last week, with two four-hit games, for a .714 series batting average. On Saturday, Manwaring went 4-for-5 with five RBIs and a run scored, recording a two-run single and a bases-clearing double. Manwaring then followed with his second consecutive four-hit day on Sunday, going 4-for-6 with a double and two runs scored. Manwaring is on a seven-game hitting streak and has posted multiple hits in each of the last four games.
 
Dygert, a junior right-handed pitcher, delivered a dominant performance on the mound for UT Arlington on Friday against Utah Tech, picking up his fifth win of the season after shutting out the Trailblazers through seven innings of work. Dygert limited the Trailblazers to just three hits and collected seven strikeouts.
