ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Tizian Marth, San José State’s Javier Lopez, Grand Canyon’s Daniel Ibarra and UNLV’s Hugo Lemos have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Goalkeepers of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Oct. 20.

Marth, a sophomore midfielder, scored the first two goals of his collegiate career during a 4-1 victory at Utah Valley on Oct. 18, the eighth result for CBU over its past nine matches. Marth opened the scoring for the Lancers in the 13th minute and then closed the match with a brace in the 83rd minute against Utah Valley, attempting a match-high three shots on goal in the win.

Lopez, a sophomore defender, went the full 90 minutes for San José State in a spirited 1-1 draw at Grand Canyon on Oct. 18. The Spartans held the high-powered GCU offense to four shots on goal, with the Lopes managing just one corner kick. Lopez also scored his first career goal in the 71st minute to bring the match level at 1-1.

Ibarra, a graduate transfer goalkeeper, earned his sixth result over his past seven starts with the home draw against San José State on Oct. 18. Ibarra was credited with three saves, including two in the second half, to secure the conference point. Ibarra was the conference leader with a .854 save percentage over 11 matches this season as of Oct. 21.

Lemos, a junior goalkeeper, registered his fifth solo shutout this season in a 2-0 win for UNLV over Air Force on Oct. 18, keeping the Rebels as the only remaining unbeaten team in WAC play. Lemos logged two saves in the victory, lowering his conference-best goals against average in WAC contests to 0.50 through four matches as of Oct. 21.
