Tarleton State and Depadt Lead Following Round Two of 2025 WAC Women’s Golf Championship

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Tarleton State extended its team lead at the conclusion of the second round of the 2025 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Golf Championship on Tuesday at the Wigwam Golf Club. The Texans shot 5-under-par 283 as a team to stretch their lead to seven strokes at 1-over-par (294-283=577).

Abilene Christian recorded the best team score in round two, as the Wildcats fired 6-under-par 282 to bring score down to 8-over-par (302-282=584) and jump to second in the team leaderboard. UT Arlington holds a one-stroke lead over Grand Canyon for third place. The Mavericks shot 10-over-par 298 in round two and the Lopes improved from day one with a team score of 7-over-par 295 to maintain their spot in fourth place. California Baptist falls to fifth place after carding 16-over-par 304.

Tarleton State’s Louise Depadt leaped to the top of the individual leaderboard after firing a 4-under-par 68 on Tuesday. Depadt overtook UT Arlington’s Nitisha Manikandesh who trails the Texan by one stroke at 3-under-par 141 following her second consecutive day under-par, shooting a 70. Manikandesh was the only player to card scores under-par in the first two rounds (71-70). Abilene Christian’s Ryann Honea climbed up 11 spots to third place after turning in the best scorecard on the day with a 5-under-par 67. Tarleton State’s Lou Deltombe also sits third in the individual leaderboard tied with Honea at 2-under-par 142. The top four will tee off in the final two groups of the field starting at 10:10 a.m. MST to fight for the individual and team title.

The third and final round of the 2025 WAC Women’s Golf Championship is set to begin at 8 a.m. MST on Wednesday at the Wigwam Golf Club. Live results are available on GolfStat.
