ARLINGTON, Texas – Abilene Christian’s Masha Vrsalovic and Tarleton State’s Aya Ishii and Marissa Minetti have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tennis Players of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Feb. 16.
 
Vrsalovic, a senior, went 2-0 on the No. 1 Singles court last week, picking up wins against Incarnate Word and Texas State. Vrsalovic helped the Wildcats to a 5-2 victory over UIW by defeating Ine Lamprecht 6-2, 6-2. Vrsalovic then took down Texas State’s Emily Niers 6-1, 6-4, winning all four of her sets played on the weekend.
 
Ishii and Minetti, freshmen, won their fifth doubles match as a duo together, as the pair defeated UIW’s Vi Salcedo Franklin/Amelie Montalvo 6-2 on No. 2 Doubles. The Texans helped the team win their fifth straight match and their 16^th straight home match.
